Suspected bandits, armed with sophisticated weapons, have abducted the wife and son of Alhaji Bashir Abubakar, the Village Head of Magamin Kano, a border village in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The incident, which took place on Monday, June 27, 2023, also resulted in the tragic killing of one person. Another individual sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh and is currently receiving medical treatment at Ningi General Hospital.
While the primary target of the attack was the village head, he managed to escape unharmed. However, his wife and son were not as fortunate and were taken by the gunmen to an undisclosed location. According to reliable sources in the village, the gunmen, numbering several, eventually fled towards Ningi forest, which serves as their operational base.
