Ahmadu Fintiri from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been officially confirmed as the duly elected governor of Adamawa State by a court of appeal.
The appellate court, affirming the tribunal’s earlier decision on October 28 that dismissed Aishatu Binani’s petition and upheld the Independent National Electoral Commission’s declaration of Fintiri as the winner, declared that the appeal from the APC candidate lacked merit. Additionally, the court awarded N500,000 each in favor of Fintiri and the PDP.
