Tinubu, Fubara, and Odili convene at a meeting in Aso Rock.

President Bola Tinubu is reportedly holding discussions with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, former Rivers State Governor Sir Peter Odili, and other stakeholders from the state at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to Vanguard, the meeting commenced shortly after FCT Minister Nyesom Wike was observed at the State House. Although the specific agenda of the meeting between the President and key figures involved in the Rivers State crisis was not disclosed at the time of this report, it may be related to recent developments in the state. Notably, 27 out of 32 members of the State House of Assembly, who are aligned with the FCT Minister, recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting also includes the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the Rivers State deputy governor.
