An 18-year-old boy, identified as Tersoo Veregh, allegedly took his own life in Makurdi, Benue State.
The deceased’s father, Mr. Veregh Nathaniel of Iorkyaako Street, High Level area of Makurdi, discovered the tragic scene at about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
It was gathered that he came out of his room to ease himself and found his son hanging from the roof of the building.
Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in ‘B’ Division, Makurdi, led a team of detectives to the scene, security analyst Zagazola Makama reported.
The corpse was photographed and later evacuated to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital mortuary.
The police said investigation into the incident was ongoing.
