Monaco Exclude Paul Pogba from Champions League Lineup

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been omitted from Monaco’s Champions League squad for the second half of the season.

The 32-year-old joined the club last June in a bid to revive his career following an 18-month doping ban. However, the Frenchman struggled early on with a series of minor injuries as he worked his way back to full fitness after nearly two years without competitive football.

Pogba eventually returned to action on November 22, making his first appearance in 811 days when he came on late in a 4–1 defeat to Rennes. He later featured as a substitute against Paris Saint-Germain and Brest.

According to French outlet RMC Sport, Pogba has now been excluded from Monaco’s Champions League squad for the remainder of the campaign as his fitness issues persist.

Monaco are set to face PSG in the knockout round play-offs later this month, and Pogba—alongside Mohammed Salisu and Takumi Minamino—has been dropped from the squad, with UEFA regulations allowing clubs to register three new players for the knockout stages.
