The Nigeria Democratic Congress has completed the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its 2027 presidential race, with Peter Obi emerging as the only aspirant to obtain the forms.
Sources within the party revealed that Obi was the sole contender before the deadline for the collection of presidential forms closed on Sunday, May 17, 2026, placing him in a favourable position ahead of the party’s candidate selection process.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, recently defected to the NDC after leaving the African Democratic Congress.
