Salt, the sister of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has opened up about her views on dating or marrying a man who earns less than she does.
Speaking on the Wahala Podcast, Salt was asked whether she would date or marry a man she is wealthier than.
“I will control him o,” she responded.
When asked if she was being serious, she maintained her position, saying she was fully aware of her personality and would indeed take control of the relationship because of the financial difference.
“Yes, I will and I know myself. I am very self-aware, I will control you. Yes, I will control him because I am richer and I am saying the truth,” she said.
Salt also maintained that being wealthier than her partner would not stop her from expecting him to contribute financially to the relationship.
“Even though I am richer, he will still be providing,” she said.
She further revealed that she would intentionally keep the full extent of her wealth from her partner.
“He wouldn’t even know I have a lot of money because I will not make him know that,” she said, adding that “he will be fine.”
