
Suspected armed bandits ambushed operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) along the Yantumaki–Danmusa road in Katsina State.
The attack took place in Dafa village around 5 p.m. on Friday, resulting in the death of one officer, CCA Adamu Abdullah, aged 37.
Four other NSCDC personnel were injured during the assault: DSC Abdullah Usman (40), ASC Dikko Sabiu (42), ASC Haruna Bello (35), and CCA Kabir Dalhatu (29). Security analyst Zagazola Makama explained that the officers, who were attached to Operation Sharan Daji, were in transit when the bandits launched the attack.
Upon receiving the report, security personnel from Danmusa quickly deployed patrol teams to the area.
The injured officers were taken to General Hospital, Dutsinma, for treatment, and their Hilux vehicle was recovered.
