Several people are feared dead following a brutal attack by suspected bandits on Tadurga village in Zuru Local Government Area, Kebbi State, on Monday night, June 16.
According to Vanguard, the heavily armed assailants stormed the community, firing shots into the air, looting shops, rustling cattle, and terrorizing residents.
“They came in large numbers, shooting sporadically. They looted shops, abducted many villagers, killed several others, and stole cattle,” a local resident reported.
The exact number of those abducted remains unknown. Confirming the attack, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police Command, said an investigation has been launched into the incident.
