Barrister Chris Agidy, the Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North, who was abducted by bandits in 2023, has sadly been killed.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed this tragic news to reporters on Tuesday, February 27. It will be recalled that in November 2023, at least 19 individuals were abducted from their homes in the Galadimawa area of the nation’s capital by gunmen.

Subsequently, it was revealed that 12 of the abductees had been killed, although their identities remained unknown and rescue efforts were ongoing. Confirming the killing on Tuesday, the FCT PPRO stated that the lawmaker’s aide was killed by one of the wanted notorious kidnappers terrorizing the capital city, Samaila Wakili.

Wakili was apprehended on February 24 at the Sardauna Forest in the Toto area of Nasarawa State. The FCT PPRO further mentioned that upon his arrest, the suspect “led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy are.”

She added that “the remains were recovered and deposited at Gwagwalada General Hospital.”
