As a measure to combat paternity fraud, human rights activist Deji Adeyanju has called for mandatory DNA testing before birth certificates are issued to newborns in Nigeria.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Adeyanju urged the National Assembly to consider introducing legislation to that effect.

His proposal has gained traction online, with many Nigerians expressing support and citing the growing prevalence of paternity fraud in the country.
