The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially ruled that all mobile phones must be completely switched off during aircraft take-off and landing.

Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA, confirmed the new directive, noting that regulations concerning the use of phones and other electronic devices during flights in Nigeria have now been standardized.

This update follows a recent incident aboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos, where a disagreement occurred between a passenger, Comfort Emmanson, and a flight attendant over the use of a mobile phone during take-off.
