Delta Police Rescue Three Kidnapped Sisters

The Delta State Police Command successfully rescued three sisters who were abducted in Egbudu-Akah, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.

SP Bright Edafe, the command’s Public Relations Officer, shared the news via his X handle on Tuesday, March 26.

He wrote: “On March 24, 2024, the command rescued three sisters who were reportedly kidnapped in Egbudu-Akah, Aniocha South LGA, and apprehended one of the suspected kidnappers.

“The sisters have been safely reunited with their families. This achievement was made possible when a vigilant resident of the community spotted the kidnappers dragging the girls into the bush.”

Additionally, during a routine stop-and-search operation on the same day, the command’s operatives intercepted a suspected cultist and seized a locally-made cut-to-size double-barrel gun.

He further stated, “On the same day in Agbor, a suspected cultist was apprehended during a stop-and-search operation. Upon searching, a locally-made cut-to-size double-barrel gun was recovered.

“CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.”
