Operatives from the Lagos Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in Naira abuse.
According to a statement from the EFCC, the suspects, Adeoti Folake and Adewuyi Modupe, were apprehended in Lagos on Friday, March 21, 2025, while allegedly hawking Naira notes.
During their arrest, the EFCC recovered a total of N3,850,000 (Three Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from one suspect, and N1,600,000 (One Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira) from the other.
The suspects will be charged in court once the investigation is completed.
