A 21-year-old escort, Deziree Hood, has been accused of stealing more than $135,000 worth of jewellery, clothing and cash from men she allegedly met at a Miami strip club.
According to reports by WPLG, Hood was recently arrested over two alleged theft incidents described by Miami police as “robbery by seduction.” She was reportedly already out on bond over an earlier robbery case.
Police alleged that Hood stole two gold chains worth approximately $110,000 from a man she met at the Booby Trap gentlemen’s club in August. The pair reportedly went to his Airbnb on August 9, where they drank before he fell asleep. He later discovered that the chains were missing.
A detective reportedly identified Hood from the club’s surveillance footage, while her fingerprints were allegedly found at the Airbnb.
Weeks later, police said Hood returned to the club and went home with another man, who later reported that jewellery, clothing and cash worth about $25,400 had been stolen from him.
The victim told police he had met two women at the club on September 11 and invited them home, where they continued drinking tequila. He discovered the missing items the following morning. Detectives reportedly identified Hood from surveillance footage, and the victim later picked her out of a photo lineup.
Hood surrendered to the Miami Police Department on Tuesday alongside her lawyer. She faces charges of second-degree grand theft and was ordered by a judge to stay away from the Booby Trap club near Miami International Airport.
The arrest comes after previous allegations against Hood. Records reportedly show she was arrested last year on prostitution-related charges.
In May, she was also accused of stealing jewellery, including a Rolex watch worth $14,000, from a man at a Miami hotel. Prosecutors further alleged that she stole about $60,000 worth of jewellery and designer clothing from another man in the city’s Brickell neighbourhood days later.
The allegations remain subject to the legal process.
