The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no interest in peace, following Russia’s devastating attack on Ukrainian cities over the weekend.

Kallas emphasized that Russia’s “relentless” drone and missile strikes clearly show that Putin is not seeking peace, even as discussions to potentially end the war continue.

She added, “We must increase our military support. Otherwise, even more Ukrainian civilians will pay the highest price.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been working to rebuild his relationship with US President Donald Trump after their tense meeting at the White House last month. Zelenskyy has expressed his willingness to sign a favorable minerals deal with the US.

Ukraine has faced significant challenges due to the US decision to halt intelligence sharing with Kyiv and freeze weapons supplies.

In recent developments, North Korean and Russian troops have breached Ukraine’s defenses in the Kursk region of Russia, where Ukrainian forces have held territory for the past seven months.
