
Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have arrested seven suspected notorious “one-chance” kidnappers linked to the murder of Miss Oluchi Opara Glory.
Opara was tragically killed shortly after completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Abuja. The breakthrough in the case came following a petition submitted on July 21, 2025, by Onyegbula Akujuobi & Co. legal practitioners to the Inspector General of Police. The petition was subsequently endorsed to the FCT Police Commissioner and acted upon by the Scorpion Squad, led by ACP Victor O. Godfrey.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspects were apprehended between August 8 and September 25, 2025, following actionable digital and reconstructive intelligence.
The arrested suspects are:

Solomon Obada (29), from Ado Local Government Area, Benue State, residing in Mararaba, Nasarawa State

Olemba Ajonwe (29), from Otukpo LGA, Benue State, residing in Aso, Mararaba

Aba Godwin (40), from Ogwarigbo, Benue State, residing in Mararaba—recently released from prison two months ago on a “one-chance” case

Kadijat Yakubu (18), from Sokoto State, residing in Badarawa, Kaduna State

Sunday Ejih Okpeh (29), from Otukpo, Benue State, residing in Aso, Mararaba

Sources revealed that the victim’s mobile phone was forensically tracked and recovered in Kaduna from suspect Kadijat Yakubu.
During interrogation, suspects Solomon Obada and Olemba Ajonwe confessed to holding the victim inside their operational vehicle—a blue Golf car—and stabbing her during a struggle over her Android phone. They further admitted abandoning her while she was bleeding in Wuse II, Abuja.
Police efforts are ongoing to locate the victim’s remains and apprehend one fugitive suspect still at large.
Recovered items from the suspects include the victim’s mobile phone and the operational vehicle used during the crime.
Authorities assured that the investigation is ongoing and that justice will be served.
