Former NFL player OJ Simpson has died aged 76 after battling cancer.

The former NFL legend, who famously stood trial for the double-murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in the ’90s, has passed away in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 10.

His family announced the heartbreaking news yesterday, April 11, through his official X account. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren at the time of his passing, after battling cancer in recent weeks.

Reports of his illness surfaced in February 2024, prompting him to deny rumors of being in hospice care through a video statement, although he did not address the cancer reports directly.
