Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu did not legitimately win the 2023 presidential election.
In an interview with Channels TV on Monday, August 11, Lawal stated that, based on the information available to him, Tinubu was not the rightful winner of the election that brought him to power as Nigeria’s 16th president.
Lawal also revealed that Tinubu, once his friend, is no longer, describing the president as “too full of himself.”
“The problem with Bola Tinubu is that he thinks I’m the one who offended him. I didn’t offend him; he offended me. He is full of himself and believes that because he is now the so-called president… I believe he didn’t win the election,” Lawal said.
