Four commissioners from Rivers State tender their resignations amidst the ongoing discord between Wike and Fubara.

In the midst of an ongoing dispute between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, an additional four commissioners have submitted their resignations from Fubara’s cabinet. Those who have stepped down include Dr. George-Kelly Alabo, Commissioner for Works; Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo-Aguma, Commissioner for the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation; Isaac Kamalu, Commissioner for Finance; and Emeka Woke, Commissioner for Special Duties. In their resignation letters, the commissioners expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity to serve. The state’s Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Prof Zacchaeus Adangor, had previously resigned on Thursday, December 14.
