Gunmen Kidnap Farm Manager In Ondo Community

Gunmen have abducted a farm manager, Afolabi Ajayi, after attacking the Imafon community in Akure North.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, when the victim arrived at his poultry farm and was stepping out of his vehicle. The attackers reportedly emerged from nearby bushes and whisked him away to an unknown location.

A family source said the abductors had yet to make contact or demand a ransom.

“He came to the farm to check on operations, but gunmen suddenly appeared and took him into the forest,” the source said, adding that the matter was promptly reported to the police.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said security operatives had been deployed to secure the victim’s release.

According to him, tactical teams are currently combing the surrounding forest to rescue the victim and apprehend those responsible. He assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken, with priority placed on the victim’s safety, and promised further updates as the situation develops.
