Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted a nursing mother and her infant along the Supare–Ayegunle axis of Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The abduction was said to have occurred on Monday.
According to an anonymous source, the woman’s husband is a well-known furniture maker in the Akungba area. “The husband is into furniture making and very popular in Akungba. His wife was kidnapped alongside their baby,” the source disclosed.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Jimoh Kazeem, said the incident had not yet been confirmed by the command.
“The information available to me is still sketchy, and I cannot confirm it at this time. I will provide an update once there is sufficient information,” he told Hope Newspaper.
