Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who serves the Anambra South Senatorial District, has officially left the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The decision was disclosed through a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a brief plenary session on Thursday, October 12. Ubah’s defection was attributed to irreconcilable differences within the YPP, with the letter stating that his choice was made in the best interests of his constituents. It’s worth noting that Ubah secured another four-year term in the Nigerian Senate during the general elections held on February 25.
