In Abuja, law enforcement apprehends a kidnapper and successfully rescues the victim.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command successfully rescued Suleiman Sabo, an abducted victim, and apprehended a suspect, Muhammad Abel, hailing from Kogi State. The spokesperson for the command, SP Josephine Adeh, announced this development in a statement, revealing that the rescue operation took place at Sauka, along Airport Road, Abuja, on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

According to SP Adeh, the rescued victim, Suleiman Sabo, sustained injuries during the kidnapping and is currently undergoing medical treatment. The statement emphasized the police’s ongoing commitment to eliminating criminal activities in the FCT.

“In a continued effort to rid FCT of criminality, Police Operatives attached to Iddo Divisional Headquarters on Sunday 21st January, 2024, at about 1130hrs rescued another kidnapped victim, one Suleiman Sabo ‘m’, from Kidnappers in Sauka, along Airport Road, Abuja,” the statement read.

The rescue operation led to the apprehension of Muhammad Abel, a 32-year-old individual from Kogi State, and the recovery of a LAR rifle with ten rounds of live ammunition from him.

The victim, who sustained injuries during the ordeal, is currently receiving medical attention and will be reunited with his family once certified fit by the medical team.
