Franky Venegas, one half of the viral TikTok duo Island Boys, has been arrested in Florida on gun and drug charges, TMZ has learned.
The 22-year-old social media personality was taken into custody on Sunday and booked into Collier County Jail in Naples, FL. Police records show he faces charges of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and possessing, selling, or altering a firearm with an altered serial number.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Venegas was arrested around 10 PM after a deputy in an unmarked vehicle pulled over a yellow Corvette that allegedly ran a stop sign while exiting a gas station. Although the car’s license plate tags were expired, the registration was later verified as valid. A woman was driving with Venegas as the passenger, and both were asked to exit the vehicle.
During a search, authorities discovered a plastic bag containing suspected Oxycodone pills on the passenger side floorboard. The bag allegedly contained seven 10mg Oxycodone pills and five Oxycodone/Acetaminophen pills. Venegas denied ownership but claimed to have a prescription, which he couldn’t provide.
Authorities also found a brown handbag labeled “MGM” on the floor, containing a handgun with no serial number, a plastic cut straw, and credit cards with Venegas’ name. A cut straw with a white powdery residue was also found in the car’s center console.
The police report identifies Venegas as a “documented gang member/associate.”
Venegas, known as Kodiyakredd, gained fame in 2021 alongside his twin brother, Alex, with their viral song “I’m an Island Boy,” which shot them to TikTok fame. He has a history of arrests for domestic battery, reckless driving, and driving without a license.
With this latest arrest, Venegas faces additional charges. Representatives for the Island Boys have yet to comment.
