
The Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa, has passed away following a prolonged illness.
The sad news was confirmed in a statement shared on Facebook on Saturday morning by his Chief Press Secretary, Bodunrin Ayodele.
The statement read:
“Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area is in mourning following the passing of its Executive Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa. Prince Asafa, a respected politician, leader, and committed public servant, succumbed to a long-term illness, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to his community.”
According to a close family member, the chairman’s passing came after a lengthy battle with illness. Despite receiving medical care, he was unable to recover, and his death has left his loved ones, colleagues, and constituents in deep sorrow.
As news of his death spreads, tributes and condolences are expected from community members, political associates, and government officials who knew and worked with him. Prince Asafa was known for his tireless dedication to improving the lives of the people in his council area.
“Oto-Awori LCDA has lost a committed leader. His absence will be deeply felt, but his contributions and legacy will be remembered,” the statement concluded.
