Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor dies at 61

Amaechi Muonagor, the renowned Nollywood actor, has passed away at the age of 61. He reportedly died today, March 24, following complications related to kidney issues, diabetes, and stroke.

In 2023, Muonagor suffered a stroke that resulted in partial paralysis of his left leg. He underwent weekly dialysis and received physiotherapy to address the paralysis caused by the stroke.

Tragically, his death occurred just days after he made a plea for financial assistance on social media to afford a kidney transplant.

Muonagor graced the screens in numerous Nigerian movies, earning recognition for his memorable role in “Aki and Paw Paw,” where he portrayed the father of two mischievous young boys.

He leaves behind his wife, Hope Chikodi Muonagor, and their children. Fans have taken to social media platforms to mourn his passing, expressing their condolences and celebrating his impactful career in the film industry.
