Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is close to finalizing a new long-term contract with Premier League club Nottingham Forest.
While Aina is already confirmed to stay at the City Ground for the upcoming season — after Forest triggered a one-year extension clause in his current deal — the club is now aiming to secure a more extended commitment from the Nigerian international.
According to The Telegraph, talks between Forest and Aina’s representatives have progressed positively, with a new agreement considered a mere formality at this stage.
The 28-year-old joined Nottingham Forest in 2023 following his departure from Italian side Torino. Since arriving, he has become an integral part of manager Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad, earning praise for his versatility, consistency, and leadership on the pitch.
Aina featured in 35 Premier League matches last season, scoring twice and registering one assist, further solidifying his value to the team.
