Reno Omokri has responded after former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, mocked him online. El-Rufai shared photos of Omokri protesting against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London back in 2022, where the political commentator was seen holding a placard that read: “No to a drug baron in Aso Rock.”
Alongside the photos, El-Rufai posted a caption that read: “NIGERIA UPDATE – The interesting lifecycle of Wendell Simlin, also sometimes retained as a political mercenary by any person or government that can pay.”
In retaliation, Omokri took to Instagram, addressing El-Rufai’s comments. He wrote: “Since Nasir El-Rufai left as governor of Kaduna, have you ever heard of k1ller herdsmen wiping out Christian communities in Southern Kaduna?”
Omokri’s response highlights the ongoing tension between the two, as he took a direct shot at El-Rufai’s record in office, particularly in relation to the security issues in Southern Kaduna.
