The Russian government has issued a warning to the United States against supporting Israel’s ongoing bombing campaign against Iran.
On Wednesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that U.S. military support for Israel could dangerously destabilize the Middle East. Speaking to the Interfax news agency, Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow advises Washington not to provide such assistance—or even entertain the possibility.
He also noted that the Kremlin remains in communication with both Israeli and Iranian officials.
This warning comes amid rising tensions, as U.S. officials have suggested that Iran has between 24 and 48 hours to surrender in order to avoid potential American military intervention. President Trump is reportedly weighing the option of joining Israel’s military operations against Iran.
According to White House sources, the coming days will be pivotal in determining whether a diplomatic resolution can be reached between Washington and Tehran.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed to know the whereabouts of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei, but said he would not authorize a strike—“yet.” He ended the message with the words: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
Israeli officials, meanwhile, have hinted at a possible major action Thursday night, likening it to previous targeted operations against Hezbollah leadership.
Sources told ABC News that President Trump has expressed growing frustration with Iran’s response to Israel’s actions, which began last Friday. According to insiders, Trump is determined not to appear as though Iran has called his bluff.
A White House spokesperson stated that U.S. forces in the region remain in a “defensive posture,” despite visible military movements involving ships and aircraft toward key points in the Middle East.
Nonetheless, President Trump is reportedly considering direct U.S. military action against Tehran following high-level discussions in the White House Situation Room regarding the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
