Security operatives have neutralised Kachalla Na’Allah, a notorious bandit identified as a key figure in criminal networks operating in Sokoto State, during a coordinated operation in Isa Local Government Area.
A security source confirmed that Na’Allah was shot dead on Friday during an encounter between Girnashe and Kuka Tara villages in Tsabre Ward. The operation was carried out by a joint team of Mobile Police and Community Guard personnel, with support from the Nigerian Army.
“The operation was carefully planned and successfully executed, leading to the neutralisation of the bandit kingpin,” the source said.
Na’Allah was reportedly a cousin of Ibrahim Chimmo, another notorious bandit believed to be operating within the Sububu Forest axis. According to the security source, his elimination is a significant step toward dismantling the leadership and operational structures of bandit groups in the area.
The development comes shortly after troops of the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army neutralised another notorious bandit, Kachalla Kallamu, in Sabon Birnin Local Government Area, underscoring sustained military efforts to curb criminal activities across Sokoto State.
Reacting to the operation, the Special Adviser to Governor Ahmad Aliyu on Security Matters, retired Colonel Ahmad Usman, praised the army and other security agencies for their dedication. He noted that the recent successes highlighted the effectiveness of coordinated efforts among the military, police and local security outfits, stressing that combating banditry remains a top priority for the state government.
Residents of Isa Local Government Area expressed relief over the development, saying the removal of Na’Allah would help reduce attacks on nearby communities and improve safety for villagers in the affected areas.
