The EFCC apprehends 48 individuals suspected of involvement in fraudulent activities in Delta State.

On Friday, October 6, 2023, the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC apprehended 48 suspected internet fraudsters in Asaba, Delta State. The EFCC officially announced this arrest on Monday, October 9, via its verified Twitter account.

The suspects have been identified as follows: Chinonso Nnemeka, Chidenbere Ekwealor, Emeka Joseph, Emmanuel Onyeka Onyeukwu, Solomon Omojewe, Miracle Ogonnaya, Pius Innocent, Ebuka Odukwe Osita, Godspower Efe, Chinedu Odiaka, Ogbemudia Wisdom, Okocha Nduka, Victor Chukwuma, Ebuka Ohika, and Bright Odinakachukwu.

Additionally, those detained include Benjamin Kennedy, Abariowei Preye, Odinakachukwu Favour, Ofere Oghale, Michael Okonkwo, Ezeali Stanley Chinedu, Akaluai Tega, Chibueze Obiozie, Chukwuma Chidimma, Sambo Daibra, Sunday Victor, Favour Ogaga-Oghene, Albert Oluwaleke, Agholor Omobude Simeon, and Okeke Chibike.

The remaining individuals in custody are Bolum Ogechukwu, Dortimi Obiagulu Abariowei, Michelle Cyril, Adesioye Ajibola, Emmanuel Omezi Chinedu, Sule Courage, Daniel Samuel, Ifeanyi Nwabor, Igalawuye Ifeanyi Emmanuel, Uwaechue Chinedu Stanley, Eboh Chukwuma, Ezeali James Arinze, Clever Afokoghene, James Power, Azubudike Emeka, Okwuolise Ebuka, Odiete Timothy, and Gilbert Nelson.

Acting on intelligence regarding their suspicious activities, the suspects were apprehended at various sites in Asaba. Among the items recovered at the time of their arrest were nine luxury vehicles, including three Mercedes Benz GLK 350s, a Toyota Camry SE, two Lexus RX 350s, two Toyota Camry LEs, and a Mercedes Benz GLA 250 4Matic. Additionally, phones and laptops were seized. These individuals have cooperated with investigators, providing valuable statements, and will be brought before the court once the investigation is complete.
