President Bola Tinubu has intervened in the ongoing political discord between Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

This intervention took place during a meeting with both politicians at the Aso Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State made this revelation after the Nigeria Police Council meeting held at the Villa today, stating that the President’s involvement aims to address the political and security challenges unfolding in Rivers State.

The tension in Rivers State on Monday, October 30, stemmed from the intentions of some members of the State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Fubara.
