Gunmen, suspected to be affiliated with a cult, have taken the life of a young man in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The victim, identified as Akpan, also known as Fregene, was fatally shot in the Rumukalagbor area of Port Harcourt on the night of November 22, 2023.
As of the time of this report, specific details surrounding the incident remain unclear. However, it has been gathered that Fregene was on his way home after watching a football game when the gunmen, reportedly tracking him, shot him twice in the neck at close range.
The late Akpan was originally from Akwa Ibom state but had been studying and residing in Port Harcourt.
