Honorable Sunday Idoko, a politician from Benue State, was tragically killed at his residence in Otukpo by unidentified attackers.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his home on Anmoda Road, Ohimini Local Government Area. Reports indicate that Idoko was attacked with a machete to the head.
According to family friend Hon. Emoni Mohammed, the attack came to light after Idoko’s children raised the alarm.
The late politician’s body has been taken to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital Mortuary in Otukpo for autopsy. Authorities have launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible.
