An arrest warrant has been issued for a 45-year-old woman accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home in Toledo, Ohio, and assaulting him, resulting in serious injury.

Jeanita Hopings faces charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary following an alleged incident that occurred on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

According to court documents, Hopings is accused of forcefully kicking in the front door of the victim’s residence and entering without permission. The man reported that he heard the break-in and ran downstairs unclothed to investigate.

An affidavit states that Hopings then attacked the man, using an “unknown instrument” to cut his scrotum, leaving one of his testicles visibly exposed due to the severity of the laceration. The victim required medical treatment at a local hospital.

On Wednesday, police issued an arrest warrant for Hopings. The investigation is ongoing.
