Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos insists his team deserves a place at next year’s FIFA World Cup in North America, praising their hard work over the past two years to earn a shot at qualification.
The South African senior men’s national team gathered in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, on Monday morning as they prepare for crucial World Cup qualifiers. They will face Zimbabwe away at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Friday, 10 October 2025, followed by a home match against Rwanda at Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, on Tuesday, 14 October 2025. Both games kick off at 6:00 PM local time.
“There have never been any doubts from my side, and I will make sure to share this confidence with the players during our meeting on Tuesday,” Broos said (via safa.net).
“I believe in this group completely, and I’m sure they will give their all to win on Friday. After our performances in the qualifiers, why should we doubt ourselves now? If any team deserves to go to the World Cup, it is South Africa.”
