
Two armed individuals opened fire at a high school in the central Philippines on Monday, June 22, killing three students and injuring five others, according to police authorities.
The incident occurred at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City, where police confirmed that two male suspects, both armed with pistols, have since been taken into custody. One of the suspects is reportedly a student at the school.
Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting at the government-run institution, which has a student population of more than 1,500. Security personnel have been deployed to the area to prevent further incidents and maintain order.
