Activist and presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has responded to Davido after the singer criticised him for his comments about his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
During a recent interview with News Central TV, Sowore said that based on his assessment of Governor Adeleke’s administration, he does not believe the governor has much to offer the people of Osun State.
Davido later came across a clip from the interview and reacted by describing Sowore as “Arindin,” a Yoruba word commonly used to mean “fool.”
Sowore has now fired back at the singer, responding to Davido’s criticism.
Sowore has responded to Davido’s criticism, saying the “real arindin” is the singer’s uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In a post reacting to Davido’s earlier remark, Sowore criticised the governor’s educational background, political choices and administration of Osun State.
He also accused the Adeleke family of treating the state as a “private estate” and alleged that they belong to the political establishment he described as corrupt, incompetent and disconnected from the struggles of Nigerians.
Sowore concluded by warning that Nigerians would eventually bring about a change in the country’s political leadership.
He wrote:
“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator.
The real arindin is your uncle who chose @officialABAT as his presidential candidate, apparently hoping that political loyalty would allow your family to continue treating Osun State as a private estate to bankroll your extravagant lifestyles.
You are all part of the same rotten political establishment—oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, entitled, and feeding off the pain, suffering, and sorrow of Nigerians.
But the tables will turn. The Nigerian people will not endure this forever.”
