Troops arrest ‘ISWAP logistics, intelligence courier’ in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected logistics courier linked to Boko Haram/ISWAP in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspect, identified as Chari Kura, a native of Gajiram in Nganzai LGA, was apprehended around 6:20 p.m. on April 20, 2026, at the Charlie 19 area of Monguno town.

According to reports, the arrest followed credible intelligence that he was on his way to deliver supplies to insurgents in Bindur village, located in Kukawa Local Government Area.

Items recovered from him include 180 mosquito coils, 12 packs of Jolly Jus, an Itel mobile phone, and N500 in cash.

He is currently being held in the custody of Sector 3, where he is undergoing further interrogation and necessary procedures.

Military authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist supply networks and cut off logistical support to insurgents within the area of operations.
