Veteran entertainer Charly Boy has stirred reactions online after humorously describing his nearly five-decade-long marriage as “boring.”
Speaking during an interview on Yanga FM, the outspoken media personality said staying married to the same woman for 48 years requires patience and constant effort, noting that disagreements remain a regular part of their relationship.
“I’ve been married to one woman for 48 years. It is very boring. Imagine eating the same egusi for years; it’s boring now,” he joked.
Charly Boy, however, stressed that conflicts are inevitable in any marriage and should be managed rather than avoided.
“All marriages are management, including my own. My wife and I are like Tom and Jerry. We quarrel every day, and we will continue to quarrel and settle it,” he said.
Reflecting on his long-lasting union, he also referenced the popular saying, “the devil you know is better than the one you don’t know,” suggesting that enduring relationships often thrive on understanding and acceptance despite their challenges.
