At least seven people have been killed following an attack by unidentified gunmen on Okele-Ejule in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The assailants, who were reportedly dressed in military camouflage, stormed the community at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and opened fire indiscriminately, forcing residents to flee for safety.

Residents said the death toll could rise, as another body was reportedly recovered from a nearby bush on Sunday morning.
