Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan has qualified for the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final after delivering a series of consistent performances in the women’s 100m hurdles this season.

The world record holder secured her place in the season-ending championship, scheduled for September 4–5 in Brussels, Belgium, after amassing 28 points from five Diamond League meetings.

Amusan currently sits second in the Diamond League standings behind American hurdler Masai Russell, who leads the rankings with 32 points. Both athletes are expected to compete in the remaining Diamond League meetings in London, Lausanne, Silesia and Zurich before the final in Brussels.

The former world champion has posted a season’s best of 12.28 seconds on three occasions this year, underlining her consistency throughout the campaign.

Russell, meanwhile, holds the fastest time in the world this season after clocking 12.14 seconds.

Amusan will be aiming to capture her fourth Diamond League title when she competes in the final in Brussels.
