Arsenal are reportedly considering a sensational move for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr as they look to bolster their squad after winning the Premier League title.
The Gunners are expected to be busy in the transfer market following their first league triumph in 22 years. They have already strengthened their attack with the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge but are now exploring the possibility of landing the Brazilian forward.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are monitoring Vinicius’ contract situation at Real Madrid, where the 25-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal. While there have been no direct negotiations between the two clubs, the report states that a potential move has been “approved at all levels” within the Emirates hierarchy should contract talks fail to progress.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 after turning 18 and has since developed into one of the world’s top attackers.
He has made 375 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 128 goals and registering 100 assists in all competitions.
The Brazil international also enjoyed an impressive 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, scoring four goals during the tournament.
Vinicius is one of several attacking players on Arsenal’s shortlist this summer. Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez remains a long-term target, although the Spanish club are reluctant to part with the Argentine. Reports suggest Atlético would be more willing to negotiate with Arsenal than with Barcelona, following the Catalan club’s public pursuit of the forward.
The north London club are also keeping tabs on Bournemouth attacker Junior Kroupi as they continue to assess options to strengthen their frontline.
In midfield, Arsenal remain interested in Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães and are reportedly preparing a £70 million bid for the Brazil international. However, Newcastle are understood to have no plans to sell the midfielder, despite reports suggesting Guimarães would be open to a move to the Emirates.
