Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, who won the inaugural award in 2023 and claimed the honor again last year, is widely tipped to secure the prestigious accolade for a third consecutive time.
Nnadozie was a standout performer for Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), helping the Super Falcons secure a record 10th title. She was also named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
Having previously played for Paris FC in France, Nnadozie recently finished fourth in the newly introduced 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or awards, recognizing the world’s top female goalkeepers. She has continued her impressive form with her current English Women’s Super League (WSL) club, Brighton & Hove Albion, since joining.
