The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has unveiled a new digital platform for applying and processing the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Card (CERPAC), marking a major milestone in the country’s ongoing immigration modernization efforts.
In a statement dated Wednesday, July 16, and issued by NIS Public Relations Officer ACI Kenneth Kure Akinlabi, the agency confirmed that the portal is now live, allowing individuals and organizations to complete and submit CERPAC applications electronically.
This initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s broader strategy to boost transparency, increase operational efficiency, and offer a more seamless user experience in public service delivery.
The NIS has also set a firm deadline for the transition: starting August 1, 2025, all CERPAC applications must be submitted exclusively through the new online portal, with manual applications no longer accepted.
