Turkish football giants Galatasaray SK have officially announced the signing of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen from Italian side Napoli in a blockbuster deal worth €75 million.
The club made the announcement on Thursday, July 31, via its official social media channels, confirming that a full agreement had been reached with Napoli. The deal includes a clause granting the Serie A side 10% of any profit from Osimhen’s future sale.
Osimhen, 26, has signed a four-year contract set to begin in the 2025–2026 season. Under the terms of the deal, he will earn a net salary of €15 million per season, along with a €1 million annual loyalty bonus and €5 million per year in image rights.
“Professional football player Victor James Osimhen has been transferred following an agreement reached with his former club SSC Napoli,” Galatasaray stated.
“As part of the agreement, a net transfer fee of €75,000,000 will be paid. Additionally, 10% of the profit from the player’s future sale will be paid to SSC Napoli. A four-year contract has been signed with the player, effective from the 2025–2026 season.”
Osimhen spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray, where he played a pivotal role in the club’s domestic double, lifting both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
The former Lille striker arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday, July 30, to a rapturous welcome from thousands of jubilant Galatasaray fans who gathered at the airport to greet their new star.
Osimhen’s transfer marks the end of a successful chapter with Napoli, where he rose to legendary status after leading the club to its first Serie A title in over three decades during the 2022–2023 season.
