Kaduna Police Summon El-Rufai, Other ADC Leaders for Questioning

The Kaduna State Police Command has summoned former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, along with several key figures of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for questioning over alleged criminal offenses.

In a letter dated September 4, 2025, the police stated that the individuals are being investigated for alleged criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous harm.

The invitation requests El-Rufai and the other party members to appear before the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on September 8, 2025, to address the allegations brought against them.

The letter listed the following individuals:

  • Mallam Nasir El-Rufai

  • Bashir Sa’idu

  • Jafaru Sani

  • Ubaidullah Mohammed (aka “30”)

  • Nasiru Maikano

  • Aminu Abita

  • Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini (aka “Mikiya”)

The police emphasized that the summons is part of an ongoing investigation into a case formally reported by complainants.
