The Rivers State House of Assembly’s legislators have purportedly endorsed an impeachment notice targeting Governor Siminalaye Fubara. During a session overseen by Speaker Rt Hon Martins Amaewhule and attended by the majority of lawmakers, House Leader Hon Edison Ehie and the governor’s supporters faced suspension.
Twenty-four out of the 32 lawmakers have placed their signatures on the impeachment document, instructing the house clerk to deliver the impeachment notice to the Governor.
