The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has strongly condemned the racist abuse directed at Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey during Sunday’s FA Cup match against Manchester United.

Bassey put his team ahead with a goal at Old Trafford, which was later equalized by Bruno Fernandes. However, it was the West London club that advanced to the quarter-finals, securing a 4-3 victory in the penalty shootout. Despite his impressive performance in the match, Bassey was subjected to racist comments from certain supporters on his social media account.
